Zenith Tutoring is fortunate to have more than 20 highly-qualified and proven instructors to help students meet their goals.
Here is a small sampling:
Grayson graduated from MIT in 2005 with a double major in Mathematics
and Computer Science. In 2006, he earned a masters in Computer
Science, also from MIT. Grayson has been tutoring all subjects for
over 10 years on a part-time basis and for 3 years on a full-time
basis. While Grayson is qualified to tutor nearly every subject, he
especially enjoys tutoring all levels of math, and particularly
specializes in SAT math.
Mary-Irene graduated from MIT in 2008 with a BS in Physics and a concentration
in Creative Writing. She has been involved with research in particle
physics and worked at both SLAC and CERN, internationally acclaimed
and very selective laboratories. Mary-Irene has been tutoring almost
every subject professionally for three years and took a number of
biology, chemistry, and writing courses that make her qualified to
teach all of these subjects. Mary-Irene specializes in teaching
sciences and helping students with SAT and ACT preparation.
Nuritzi graduated from Stanford in 2008 with a BA in International Relations and a
minor in Psychology. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and also received her Spanish
certification from Stanford. She is currently the Assistant Director at Zenith
Tutoring and is in charge of pairing students with tutors to ensure the best possible match.
Nuritzi has had over five years of tutoring and mentoring experience. In addition to
tutoring Spanish, Nuritzi specializes in Early Education.
Chris Chan recently graduated from San Francisco State University with an MA
in Mathematics. Due to his academic achievements at SF State, Chris was awarded
a teaching fellowship sponsored by the National Science Foundation's GK-12 program,
which is given to about 700 students nationwide each year. Chris has taught students
both in a classroom setting and individually, and has worked with a wide range of
age groups and ability levels. As a graduate teaching assistant, Chris focused on
teaching remedial algebra and calculus courses as well as developing mathematics
materials for his professors. In addition to tutoring all levels of mathematics,
Chris also teaches chemistry, physics, and the SAT.
Sindhoo graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2011 with a double major in Political Science and International Relations, and a minor in Professional Writing and Editing. She has editing and writing experience ranging from local newspapers to national documents for the U.S. Department of Justice. Sindhoo especially enjoys helping students write essays for all subjects; she has strong grammar skills, and specializes in transforming initial rough drafts of essays into final polished pieces. In addition to English and writing, Sindhoo specializes in World History and Politics, and can speak Tamil.
Nik graduated with honors from Cupertino High School and is currently attending Santa Clara University. He hopes to graduate in 2014 with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science and has already taken numerous classes in the fringe areas of Mathematics, as well as classes in the Java and C++ programming languages. Nik has had a lot of experience tutoring unofficially before joining Zenith, and specializes in tutoring Mathematics and Computer Science subjects.
Kendall graduated with honors from Sacred Heart Preparatory and is currently attending Stanford University. She hopes to graduate in 2015 with a degree in Earth Systems focusing on Energy, Science and Technology. She has studied Earth Systems both in high school and in college, and has participated in an environmental engineering summer program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In addition to tutoring Environmental Science, Kendall specializes in helping students with their English essays, with the college application process, and with math.
